We're working on our new remodel and Blogger is having ... issues with the header image, it seems to be widespread right now, so hopefully we'll be fixed up soon and looking good again!
I was having this problem also. I ended up hosting the header image on photobucket and using the direct link instead of uploading the image straight to blogger. Not sure if you've tried it, but if not, it's worth a try.
